Hi, I’m Alyssa
I’m here to listen and I mean really listen to you, to tease out the intricacies within your heart, mind, and body.
As a sister, stand beside you, in remembrance of the inherent wisdom you hold as you usher in new life. Let’s go slow, let’s get curious.
Birth is wild, expansive, intimate, and takes women, birthing people, and female bodied individuals to their edges. Birth is transformative and raw. Birth is vulnerable and powerful.
I honor ALL of you and believe in your birth.
What is a Birth Doula?
As a birth doula
I accompany women, their partners, and families throughout pregnancy, labor, and shortly after childbirth.
I will provide continuous emotional, physical comfort, and informational support.
My role in your birth…
Is to hold space in the sacred process of childbearing, offer soothing touch, suggestions for comfort/positioning, and massage.
I draw on my knowledge to help you and your partner advocate for the birth you desire, so that you may feel grounded in your decisions, trust your body, and lean into the magic of bringing your baby earthside.
I am independent and self-employed, meaning…
I am hired by you, not your care provider or hospital/birth center.
As your doula, I respect all your beliefs and choices surrounding birth. I work with you and for you from a place of non-judgement.

“I had the honor of meeting Alyssa when I was pregnant with my first born. I knew I wanted a doula, but wasn’t sure how to go about finding one. Luckily I ran into Alyssa while I was working and she informed me she was becoming a doula. I knew I wanted to meet with her more and that’s exactly what we did.
When we made it official, Alyssa came to our house to meet my husband and we shared our vision for delivering our baby girl. She helped us practice labor positions, comfort levels on touch, and just focused on who we are as people.
My water broke the day before my due date and we informed Alyssa immediately and she was very quick to respond letting us know she was ready whenever we were. Soon after we arrived to the hospital my contractions started and I knew I wanted Alyssa to come asap. She arrived when we got checked into our delivery room and instantly her presence calmed me. I was thrilled she was there. She walked with me, labored with me, and replaced my husband whenever he had to do something. She was also very intuitive as to when she wasn’t needed and let my husband lead.
I had a beautiful and natural labor. After, Alyssa took my placenta and did beautiful placenta stamps for me that I will forever cherish. She visited us and brought us a meal. We felt loved and cared for.”

“With my 2nd pregnancy I knew I would want Alyssa to be our doula again. She came to our house and we talked about our expectations for my 2nd birth. We were delivering at a birthing center this time as well as not knowing the sex of our baby. So we had a few changes with this birth.
My water broke 2 weeks early and again, Alyssa was quick to respond. I knew I would want Alyssa to come as soon as she could. With my 1st labor being relatively quick I didn’t want to wait too long this time around. My husband and I arrived to the birthing center after a few hours of laboring at home and Alyssa arrived shortly after.
She was comforting, confident, and strong for me. I’m so grateful for her intuitiveness and guidance. I tend to want to do many different things while laboring and she is on top of it. This delivery was quick and a blur for me. But Alyssa was there next to me helping me push my baby earth side. And surprise! A beautiful baby boy!
We had placenta stamps again as well as getting the placenta encapsulated. She made sure I was taken care of before she left, getting us food, rubbing my feet, speaking encouraging words.
Overall, I as well as my husband are very grateful for the help of Alyssa during the births of our 2 children. She was everything I wanted in a doula and more. When the time comes for us to have a 3rd baby we hope to have her there.”
